Belarus restricts the import of pork from Vietnam and Russian Primorye

Belarus restricts the importation of pork from Vietnam due to African swine fever (ASF), from the Primorsky Territory due to classical swine fever (CSF). Such information is posted on the website of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, informs BELTA.

According to the International Epizootic Bureau (OIE), in the city of the central subordination of Haiphong, the provinces of Hyngyen and Thaybin of Vietnam, there have been cases of swine ASF. In addition, according to the OIE, in the territory of Primorsky Krai of Russia a case of classical swine fever was recorded.

In this regard, from March 2, temporary restrictions are imposed on the import into Belarus from Vietnam and Primorsky Krai of Russia of live pigs, zoo and circus animals of susceptible species, pork (including wild boar meat) and other food pig breeding raw materials, as well as their processed products , tannery, ryogopytny and intestinal raw materials, bristles, hunting trophies obtained from animals of susceptible species, other products.

The department informs about the need to take additional control measures to ensure the biological protection of pig-breeding facilities of all forms of ownership.
